Honestly, why does this profile not address Peter Brasile profession background? Peter seem like an honest man, that has done more than most for our country, but I'm not sure that makes him qualified to hold the position of Board of Trustee. It would be nice if we could find out more information about what he does for a living, also what type of accomplishments his children (where they are attending college, for example) achieved while attending Wantagh High School, which would give insight to family values (education begins in the home). Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I wanted to get a feel for Peter Brasile at the candidates night since I didn’t know anything of him. He seems bright and articulate. I also like the structure and organization in him, compliments of his army background.
Although he doesn’t have a formal college education, he does have education certificates and has demonstrated leadership by being a co-founder of the Wantagh Football Club. Not in his bio, he did volunteer on the BAC years ago. Definitely interesting to talk to.
I was concerned about the possibility of having another trustee that is sports oriented (or more accurately, another one that plays to the sports vote that unfortunately, given our finances is at the expense of other kids). But, after talking to him, I sensed that he clearly understood the distinction between his passion for sports and his good grasp of the issues the district faces. The sports vote will be to his advantage but didn’t seem to be something he was blatantly capitalizing on, another plus. I also picked up on some integrity in him, always a good thing around kids.
So, maybe? But, good for Wantagh that another viable candidate is running, seemingly for the right reasons too.
