I want to relate my well deserved personal embarrassment at having to retract an inaccurate statement that unfairly reflected upon the WUT (teachers union) and its leadership. Relaying and playing up unverified second hand reports from anonymous sources carried that risk, a risk which I certainly knew existed yet foolishly chose to ignore.
Hey, I understand the desire to be anonymous and to post opinions with one's identity shielded. But, you know what? I am going to do two things about this.
1. My responses, replies and discussions with anonymous posters here, whose true identity I do not know, will be extremely limited. I will revert to my former practice of asking anonymous posters who they are, and they may ignore my request, or, identify themselves either publicly or privately by sending me a Private Message through this site. All private messages are treated as confidential by me. However, if you can bring yourself around to doing it, may I invite everyone to post under their real name.
2. I am changing my own signature line on my Yahoo account to my real name, not that most people with whom I correspond, there, do not already know who I am.
Respectfully,
Chris Wendt
