Hey Michael - sounds like very good (short term) news - stimulus payback discussions aside. Do you have the link? I looked and couldn't find it.

Just want to caution everyone not to get too too excited about this yet.
The passing of the budget may be delayed in Albany. As stated at the BAC last night, this would be maximum aid we may receive assuming we meet all conditions e.g., universal pre-K which we don't have. And since this includes stimulus $, it may include other conditions or considerations.
So, it would be prudent to temper enthusiasm and accolades now until firm #'s and their conditions are known.

From News12.com "LI's state leaders clash over budget...
(04/01/09) ALBANY - State lawmakers continue to negotiate after failing to agree on a budget before Wednesday night’s deadline and Long Island’s representatives are making sure they’re in the mix.
The budget is a done deal in the Democrat-controlled Assembly, according to Speaker Sheldon Silver (D-Manhattan), but state senators can’t come to an agreement.
Republicans in the Senate, a minority by two votes, want major revisions in the budget. They say the Democrats secretly crafted a budget that taxes too much and will cost thousands of jobs. Minority Leader state Sen. Dean Skelos (R-Rockville Center) is urging Long Island's two Democratic senators to support his amendment that uses $1 billion in federal stimulus money to restore the STAR property tax rebate checks.
'This is a horrible budget for hard working families on Long Island,” Skelos says. “Craig Johnson and Brian Foley should vote ‘no’ on this budget because it is totally anti-Long Island....'"
