Bill De Blasio is getting a sound basic education from Andrew Cuomo and Dean Skelos.
Here is the curriculum:
On Monday, Dean Skelos announced that the NY State Senate will not be holding any vote on taxing the rich to pay for Universal Pre K anywhere in NY State. Taxing policy is a state function, not a City function. The City can only make new taxes is the State says it can.
Earlier, Cuomo first, then Regents Chancellor Tisch schooled De Blasio on role and function and value of charter schools in New York, and now De Balsio is looking for any way out of the predicament he caused for himself and for hundreds of NYC Charter School families. This will involve more that simply eating crow on the Mayor's part.
Interesting stuff.
I shudder to think what will happen if De Blasio ever became Governor!

Here is the curriculum:
- Geography: By looking at a map of the United States, determine which is larger in area, New York (the state) or New York (the city).
- Math: If New York (the city) is part of New York (the state), which has the larger population, New York City or New York State?
- AP Politics and Government: Since the Governor is elected by the voting population of New York State, and the Mayor is elected by the population of New York City, which office is vested with the greater political power?
- Ratios and Scale (Graphic Arts): New York (the city) has 5 boros; New York (the state) has five Regions; New York (the city) has 5 counties; New York (the state) has Five Big Cities, of which New York (the city) is only one. Memorize.
