Actually, my recommendation (and vote) will be 'Yes' on Tuesday, March 11th for the establishment of a 5-year, $5 Million Capital Reserve Fund for the Wantagh School District.
This is a prudent action that will secure surplus money in a lawful fund that is restricted for use only on voter-approved capital projects, or, appropriated to reduce the tax levy if not appropriated for capital projects during the life of the fund. I have been in favor of the school district establishing a Capital Reserve Fund for several years, and am pleased to see this on the ballot tomorrow.
