There were a number of melees in LI high school football games last season. One at Comsewogue resulted in the game being called at the beginning of the second half, and visiting Amityville being declared the winner. The fight was punctuated with racial epithets, some allegedly by the Comsewogue coaching staff. Five (5) Amityville players were injured during the scuffle, and they filing lawsuits against the Comsewogue School District and other defendants, seeking $25 Million for each injured player.

Most disconcerting to me are the allegations made about the Comsewogue coaching staff. ("...members of the Comsewogue coaching staff and football team beat, stomped and choked them while yelling racial epithets in a brawl during a game....") However, those are only allegations at this point in time.
