Shoreham-Wading River Superintendent fails to re-appoint standout Lacrosse Coach.

Interesting whenever these kinds of decisions go outside the chain of command, i.e., why was this decision made by the Super instead of by the AD? I "strongly suspect" that some members of an activist school board leaned on the Super to dump this coach.
Less interesting, but more disconcerting is the fact that the Super took pains to say that this action (firing) was NOT the result of playing time or his interactions with particular students. That is like TV series disclaimers that say, "This story is fictional has nothing to do with any real person". However, it was totally WRONG for the Super to have made any statement, even one saying what the firing was NOT the result of.
Not discussing personnel decisions means just that: NOT DISCUSSING PERSONNEL DECISIONS. <-period
