...and so starts the uprising. Quoting Wantagh-Seaford Patch contributor Brad Livingston: "While I hate these silly tests, it (is) UNDENIABLE that Seaford students performed worse th(a)n the areas around us. I do not think it (is) our drinking water. Every student from Seaford to Jericho, to Merrick too(k) the same test. The results speak for themselves. We have a problem" That is predictable and typical of how human nature will process the news about "failing" scores on the bogus 2013 NYS ELA & Math Assessments. Now, I ask you to process this man's reaction to the aggregated "Seaford" (School District's) results by extrapolating it from one small, mostly white, middle-class, suburban LI school district to hundreds of thousands of individual families all over NY state who will soon read the official notices of their own child's "failure" to have attained "on-grade-level" status on the latest assessments. Hundreds of thousands. Even if we didn't have a problem before these assessments, we have one, now! Brace yourselves! Chris Wendt
