This qualifies as a major announcement. So I guess I now can infer that "Lilly" is really an alias for Maureen Goldberg, the Superintendent, who would have been the person making these critical decisions?
I am really surprised that you broke the news here, first, even before putting it on the District website and W-S Patch.
JK, I know Lilly is not really Maureen Goldberg.

I was glad to find out the news, having known Don Sternberg for 30 years.
Sixty years plus eight months ago I started Kindergarten at WES, and so have a personal affinity with this very special place, and an abiding interest in whose care it has been entrusted.

I'm very surprised they brought someone back into the district that had VERY mixed parent reviews when she was here. From what I understand, none of the parents who had firsthand dealings with her back then were consulted in this hiring process. Not a good (smart) sign at all... Good luck with that Beech! Filling Dr. Sternberg's shoes, recent warts and all, is a very tall order. He built a strong, well run school.
