China has a program which provides teachers of Mandarin Chinese to public and non-public schools around the world, including some here in the U.S. Read about it here (hyperlink)This was on the news last night, with some folks down in rural Georgia concerned about the possibility for communist or pro-China propaganda to be intermixed with the language lessons. Thus far, such fears have been unfounded. I am not advocating for this approach, but raise it as a matter of awareness. Mandarin Chinese is the most widely spoken language on the planet, today, in terms of sheer numbers of people speaking it. 诚挚 Chris Wendt
