Santo Barbarino, Superintendent of Lynbrook Schools, took ill during a staff meeting yesterday, went to his doctor, and succumbed to a heart attack, there. He was 67 years of age. hyperlink to very nice Lynbrook Patch articleHe was definitely one of Long Island's best and most beloved school leaders. I had been to several Lynbrook Board of Education meetings in recent years. I had been very favorably impressed by the manner in which those meetings were conducted...among the best anywhere. Especially in times of discord and stress within the district. Worth considering as a field trip for any Board member or administrator interested in experiencing good boardsmanship on display in public. Rest in peace, Santo Barbarino. Chris Wendt
