What happened to the information presented to the Board about declining enrollment and full-day Kindergarten? I was on this committee with many other people and I know our findings were presented to the Board in October 2011. What was the end result? And now they want to form another committee? Full-day Kindergarten is needed in Wantagh. It can be done. The committee I was on looked into this as well as the declining enrollment. We talked about the "Princeton Plan, " re-zoning, and how to use the "free" space in Mandalay. Why hasn't anyone else asked about the findings of that committee???

I know what the report said...I want to know what the Board's reaction was. Why are they calling for another committee when they already have the information from the last one?

Sorry, I misunderstood you when you asked what happened to the report and whether anyone else had asked for it. It had been inquired about from the audience during at least six consecutive monthly BoE meetings between the time it was written and the time it was published on the website. Both Dr. Marsh and Dr. Bonuso indicated the report was under review in response to audience inquiries during that time.

I am not able to reply to you as far as what the Board's reaction may have been at the various times between October and now, other than to point to the Patch Article (link the top of this thread) which speaks for itself.

Thanks, Chris. It is just so frustrating to me. I, along with the other members of this committee put a great deal of time and effort into this committee. It just boggles my mind that no conclusions were drawn and now they are looking to form another committee to do exactly what the other committee just did!
