Can anyone tell me WHY the Horizons teacher is being paid nearly $1700 to score the Horizons tests? Without those tests she wouldn't have a job. Isn't it part of her well-paid job to score the tests? This is what we pay for.

41 people have read this yet no one can tell me WHY the Horizons teacher gets paid extra to do her job (and doing this part of her job helps ensure she HAS a job)

I don't know the answer to this, sorry. The psychs don't get paid stipends when they test kids for special ed services bc that is part of their job. The district does hire substitutes when the classroom teachers have to grade state tests (to my knowledge the teachers don't get paid extra for grading state tests). But, this one, I have no idea!
