As per newsday, Four Long Island high schools were named among the top 100 in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report. South Side High School in Rockville Centre was listed at 22, Jericho at 94, Commack at 95 and Locust Valley at 99. www.newsday.com/long-island/education/4-li-high-schools-named-to-nation-s-top-100-1.3706969So where did Wantagh rank? Well we didn't make the cut, but you know who did? Note: I didn't mention the obvious schools, such as syosset, garden city, and roslyn. I can't believe we were out ranked by the last 4, regardless of how they calculate the numbers. www.usnews.com/education/best-high-schools485 - Oyster Bay 494 - Bethpage 534 - New Hyde Park 550 - Carle Place 579 - Valley Stream 622 - MacArthur 739 - Lynbrook 792 - Islip 900 - Southampton 983 - Massapequa 1160 - Division 1403 - East Islip 1414 - Bayshore 1921 - Lindenhurst

BTW, if you believe this is unacceptable, lets start with demanding higher standards for our BOE Trustee's. D'Amato is the only one that has a college degree, meaning he is the only one qualified.

We need open enrollment in our AP classes. We are rank so low because of the low percentage of seniors taking AP exams!
