Bullying is making a lot of headlines lately, from a beating in Levittown: levittown-ny.patch.com/topics/Levittown+beatdownabclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/local/long_island&id=8601201...to a critically acclaimed documentary debuting today: thebullyproject.com/indexflash.htmlThe documentary has limited distribution. In our area, it's only in 2 theatres, both in NYC. There has also been PR bc although targeted to middle and high schoolers, the film has an R rating due to cursing by the bullies in the movies. There's an online petition to change the rating. And, the theatres will accept parent notes to let kids under 17 in to see it. What is Wantagh 6-12 or administrators doing to screen the movie and get the film to Wantagh for a broader viewing e.g., a community movie night at the high school?
