In response to: "Someone should...investigate if she could be sued for...breaking her contract" No, she could not. Your question assumes an unsubstantiated allegation that a contract was 'broken', and that, if a contract had been 'broken', that Dr. Begley would have been the party that 'broke' it.

The common thread running through this shocking string of departures from the professional educational leadership of the Wantagh School District is the Wantagh Board of Education. The following is my personal perspective, published on the Wantagh-Seaford Patch: "Dr. Richard Marsh is a seasoned veteran; a thoroughly experienced, successful public school Superintendent whose career was spent in a successful district nearby. He is a consummate professional, a proven leader, and a gentleman through and through. He is always positive in his outlook and has a good rapport with the staff.
Today this very good man added his name to a long and growing list of good people, of well respected educational leaders who used to work in the Wantagh School District, until they all of a sudden stopped working there for various reasons carefully scrubbed before being "released" by the districts PR firm.
This is a stunning turn of events...." wantagh.patch.com/articles/wantagh-interim-superintendent-resigning#comments_listChris Wendt

This is really disheartening. Red flag - what is going on within the BOE that a seasoned interim superintendent can't finish a school year? Begs a whole host of big issues...

Please no interim interim. Let’s not jump into another interim superintendent. I’m sure the assistants and principals can get us thru to next year. I would hope the departing super would elaborate on the what he liked and disliked about our district.

MY SOLUTION WOULD BE TO THROW ALL THE ADMIN OUT INCLUDING THE BOE, AND LET THE STATE EDUCATION DEPT COME IN AND RUN THE SCHOOL DISTRICT LIKE WHAT THEY ARE DOING IN ROOSEVELT UNTIL THE DUST SETTLES DOWN....CLEAN HOUSE!!!!

I have a question and a request for Tired of Taxes: - Question: Please define the problem which your proposed solution is intended to address or correct. What do YOU think the problem is?
- Request: Please do not type in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. That makes your posts difficult to read, and may distract some readers from your message.
Thank you. Chris Wendt

The problem I was referring to was in your earlier post :
Today this very good man added his name to a long and growing list of good people, of well respected educational leaders who used to work in the Wantagh School District, until they all of a sudden stopped working there for various reasons carefully scrubbed before being "released" by the districts PR firm.
This is a stunning turn of events...."
If the BOE continue to flip Admin personnel, the the public would perseve serious problems with running the school district, something that may require a higher authority to take charge. But then again, I think most of the district employees are money hungry and care little else, but thats only my opinion and not based on fact....Sorry about the CAPS....
