Don't know what is going on with the BAC this year. There was talk that it may take a different form.
However, BOE (8:00) and BAC (8:30) meeting is on the district calendar for tonight. Just in case others rather than the same old 20 people are interested in participating in this year's BAC.
Both are WHS auditorium.

Both seemed like non-event meetings. Certificates given out to sports kids. BAC will have emphasis on the 2% tax cap and its exclusions. Of note, only 3 community comments - all were about the sorry state of arts spending in Wantagh.

I thought the non-response by the "interim" super to the request for some info on the enrollment committee report was significant. In October his comment was he just received it. Now it needs to be discussed. By now should we not expect some outline of significant recommendations received. Maybe good he's interim if he refuses to answer the questions.

Time for some critical thinking, friends.
If the answer to multiple questions of vital interest and concern to various stakeholders in Wantagh is "We have not discussed this yet", or "we have not discussed that yet", then we should all wonder about what the Board of Education is spending untold hours and endless long evenings actually discussing.
What are they doing with all the time they are investing?
Months went by before the BoE hired a Superintendent Search Consultant. What kind and amount of discussion did that require?
Hey, Board members...Wantagh wants to know what is going on. What are you people doing with your time?
More than just a little curious...
