First off, best wishes to all for a happy & successful school year! Second, yesterday's chore was the school calendar, no more post-its, scribbled notes and invitations all over the place. Like many Wantagh households, the school calendar functions as the end all, be all working family calendar. That said, when highlighting district events I noticed: - One BAC meeting?
- BOE meetings moved to Wednesdays.
- More BOE planning sessions than meetings. Not a lot of meetings.
What is going on? Anyone hear anything? Are there changes to the BAC? Why are there less BOE meetings?

They are supposed to have one Business Meeting per month, and it looks like they have satisfied that requirement.
As for one and only one BAC meeting, this may be a harbinger of "the NEW transparency"; so darn transparent, it's totally INVISIBLE!
Who needs a BAC when you have a 300-pound gorilla to "advise" you? 'Thump! Thump! Thump!' "Don't cut THAT! And don't touch THAT!" 'Thump! Thump! Thump!' "Hey, don't even THINK ABOUT LOOKING AT THAT!" 'Thump! Thump! Thump! "We need this! We need more of those!" ' 'Thump! Thump! Thump!' "You only need 60% of the actual voters to pass that 6% tax increase, and the 300-Pound Gorilla is gonna deliver you that 60% tax cap over-ride vote! Listen to The Gorilla!" 'ROAR!'
Should be a good year for the Mayflower, I mean the May Tulip.
Who was that guy, who called himself "The Force to be Reckoned With"? What did anyone think of him, I mean what did anyone who paid him the courtesy of listening to his comments think of him?
Curiouser and curiouser.

bewildered, you have a good sense of humor.
Chris, you are right, 1 BOE meeting a month, last year and this school year.
It looks like planning sessions were doubled (but I'm too lazy to recount on last year's calendar). And BAC meetings remain a mystery.

In bean counting, anal retentive mode this morning, I recounted last year's planning session. Planned BOE Planning sessions are roughly the same/slightly less. And throughout the year, I know they call ad hoc planning sessions as needed if you keep your eyes on the district website.
So, looks roughly the same except BAC. I bet evolving 2% tax cap rules have something to do with that.

Has anyone heard or seen the long range plan...with all the excitement I hope this has not disappeared off the agenda for the 25th straight year.
