wantagh.patch.com/articles/question-of-the-day-seafords-school-board-appointmentThere is a good discussion going on concerning the upcoming and pending appointment of an interim member to the Seaford Board of Education. One of the potential candidates is a participant in this discussion on Patch. This process and the attention it rightfully is receiving, is of particular relevance to the Wantagh School District's pending appointments to our senior Administrative Team. Especially everyone's favorite or least favorite topic: "TRANSPARENCY" (or the lack thereof). Everyone should be at least curious if not more intensely interested to know and understand the process for hiring a Superintendent of Schools. Feel free to discuss here, and/or to chime-in on Patch. Regards Chris Wendt

Wish Lorraine DeVita was on the Wantagh BOE...She seems to have her act together..The members of the Wantagh BOE seem to use that rubber stamp quite frequently....

If you go on Wantagh-Seaford Patch (follow the link in the lead post, above), you will see several posts there from Lorraine DeVita. If you click on her name when it is highlighted in green type, you can read the complete history of her posts on Patch on a wide variety of subjects.
I do not know her personally (at least I don't think so). But a review of her positions and her manner of communicating publicly in consideration of the her potential candidacy for an interim appointment to the Seaford School Board should prove enlightening to anyone who takes the time to read through the log. If she is appointed, that reading should prove invaluable rather than just causally interesting.
However, you should draw your own conclusions about whether someone has their act together or not, and, if that is a good thing or something else.
