I notice this every year in the budget handouts and the official budget brochure: there are always copious notices about local dates to register in advance of the May budget/trustee vote, but I don't believe that there is any need to register annually if you are already registered to vote for any general election. (I'll call Elaine McGuigan when schools re-open to verify unless someone else can confirm this). if you need to verify your voting status go to voterlookup.elections.state.ny.us/votersearch.aspx to see if you are actively registered for your address in Wantagh. else, the District is holding voter registration from 9am to 1pm on May 3rd at WHS or May 7th (Saturday) in the Admin Bldg. this should be the same as going to register at Nassau's Board of Elections at www.nassaucountyny.gov/agencies/BOE/ or calling them at (516) 571-VOTE well in advance of any votes. the District's request for an Absentee Ballot is at www.wantaghschools.org/18401010131967963/lib/18401010131967963/AbsenteeBallot_App.pdf or by calling 516-679-6310. thanks, in advance, for any clarification/confirmations.

confirmed in district's Requirements to Vote in the School District Election that you can vote for budget or BoE if you are:
registered with the school district or in the general elections, so no excuses not to show up.
as always Elaine McGuigan, district clerk, is the best at elections questions or problemsolving: mcguigane@wantaghschools.org / 679-6310
