With today’s news of the $39 BILLION deal for AT&T to acquire T-Mobile, it is now more apparent why T-Mobile has been rabidly intent to push ahead with their attempt to secure approval to mount cell antennae on the FWJC building in Wantagh. Quoting AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson from the Reuters article in today’s AM New York, “This transaction represents a major commitment to strengthen and expand critical infrastructure”.
That’s the up-to-date Big Business view of this.
The law—meaning the courts—will be the final battleground to resolve the Big Business perspective with the local situation on the ground, here, which the combined AT&T/T-Mobile lawyers will surely cast as NIMBY politics attempting to interfere with interstate commerce in a manner that violates the Commerce Clause of the U.S. Constitution.
The ultimate outcome remains of high interest.
