This could be considered obscene, but the voters approved the money, meaning, the money exists and so does the will to spend it.
We attended our grandson's club football game in West Chester, PA, before he was in high school. We were curious that the game was scheduled at night. When we got there we were amazed at the stadium, the lights, the press box, and game announcements. Pro football experience for 11-12 year olds!
"Ball carried by #12, Jones...stopped dead in his tracks by #44, Wendt...loss of 3 on the play."
As I said, amazing!

Outside of NY, the HS football scene is really bizarre.
I guess in TX they really do do everything "big". I was astounded when a friend of mine from TX told me about their brand new, built from the foundation up arts center. (Don't remember the spending on it, but I do remember being in awe at the time since it dwarfed Wantagh's sportsplex spending.)
This really is an obscenity.
