Very incomplete reporting by The Patch. - Who? - not reported
- What? - a one-car accident
- Where? - King Road, Wantagh, near Wantagh Park
- When? - 9:00 PM Wednesday evening
- Why? - not reported
It is not clear if these young adults were Wantagh residents, Wantagh High alumni or students, or, were park patrons just passing through our fair hamlet after a day's fishing. The article reflects poorly upon Wantagh, with negative implications about our youth , but possibly for no reason. The Patch editor should have gotten the meat of the story before rushing to publish it, in my opinion. Journalistic RIGOR required! Chris Wendt

The 3 boys are WHS students. At least one of them is a senior, probably the other as well but I don't know that for sure. Prob bc they may be under 18, they don't want to publish names?
From the photo, it looks like King Road is the access road to the park. If so, I didn't know that road had a name. I suspect they were not fishing.

Just put two and two together. The WHS Senior Variety show was last night ending about 9'ish. They were prob on their way home from it. And one of the kids remains very seriously hurt. I really hate hearing about stuff like this.

Thank you for providing these updates. It is very distressing to hear this news. I know everyone will be praying for the recovery of the seriously injured young man.
