If so, what was discussed?

Last nights meeting was a planning session. It was open to the public but there was only one or two community members.

I didn't know planning sessions were open to the public.
What was discussed? When I inquired about technology plans, I was told it was previously presented at a previous board planning session which I didn't attend because I didn't know they were open to the public or what the agendas were.

I also had no idea that the Planning Sessions where open to the public. Just another example of how information is not given out to the public. On that note, does anyone know who is running for the (2) seats up for re-election on the BOE.

Thank you.
Did they mention how much the IB is costing to bring into the district?
I would like to know who is running and if there is a meet the candidate night.

Thank you PlanMan78. Do you know if there are any challengers to those (2) seats?

planman, was it the International Baccalaureate program or an international business course? www.ibo.org/If it's the IB program, while a very good thing and catching on quickly, it's expensive, has some controversy and is exclusive. How was it positioned relative to AP courses? Did they mention how much it was and was it approved to be included in the proposed budget? Thanks for whatever information you have.

Its an international business program that is partially sponsored through Ford Motor Company and partnering with Adelphi University. It would require a core curriculum of business classes and an advance language. I believe its still in the planning stages because details are being worked out with Adelphi University for the college level classes.

Sponsored by Ford sounds good. I like the idea of a global course too.
