I have noticed several disjointed posts about the district website as stand-alone threads on this venue. I did not know the string, "Suggestions for District Website" existed, way back there on Page 4 of the BoE Subject area.
Suggestion:
Maybe "The District Website" should have its own Subject heading on the front page of this forum...after all, it is not about the budget or the school board, but it is a district-wide asset and service that may merit its own heading, here.
The existing "Website" thread is seriously dated (out-of-date). Starting a new subject area, each new suggestion can be its own thread, leading to its own solution. I think the community could really get on the cause of helping to improve the District Website by having a convenient and popular forum to raise suggestions, like the one I am suggesting. Also, the district webmaster and administrators would have a very convenient way to receive public feedback, if it were made readily available and neatly packaged in a new Subject Area, here.
Thinking outside that box, about a new box...a website suggestion box! Chris Wendt

Thanks for the suggestion. Sorry it took so long to respond.
We've stickied the old thread for the time being and included the current address in the first post. If there is renewed interest in that thread, we can give it its own folder.
Thanks again.

Good. The District Website is a potentially invaluable tool. I know there are at least several people in the community with not only technical skills but also folks with communication skills and organizational skills who could contribute meaningful ideas, peer review, constructive criticism of the district site. In turn, that activity could generate forward momentum and excitement about the website and its inevitable improvements.
