...what my school tax bill will be.
What all the wrangling and jangling, the budgeting, and positioning, and negotiating all come to will be our school tax bills, due in our mailboxes any day now.
I am expecting a nice non-surprise.
Otherwise, while I am always thinking, I really haven't anything to say.
Best regards to everyone.

And so it came to pass, when the envelope with my School Tax Bill for 2015-16 was opened on Saturday, I had a nice little non-surprise. My overall tax bill went down. The school tax portion of my bill went down. (I disagreeessment was also lowered by a successful challenge on my behalf by Fred Perry). Bottom line, some of the reduction was due to my successful assessment challenge, and a small amount attributable to the small reduction in the school tax levy.
I want the thank the Board of Education for coming through with the school tax levy reduction. Sincerely...
But then there was the Library portion of the tax bill...it went up, and essentially wiped-out the reduction of the school tax attributable to the tax levy decrease.
For the coming year, citizen concern needs to focus on the Library Tax...we should be demanding and expecting a reduction in the library tax levy. I mean, if the school district can do it (LOWER TAXES), then there should be no earthly reason the Library cannot better manage their spending and taxing habits.
I see this as a need for more consideration on the part of the Library Board for us, the Taxpayers of Wantagh.
Happy, otherwise....
