If Mel was Ashmid, born to Arabic parents, I'm sure the community would call him a terrorist. But, he's not. He's autistic.
His alleged 'blowing up the school' comment was said minutes after his meltdown. You'll note what he said in his numerous apologies subsequent to that meltdown is 'what I SAID was very wrong'. There was no evidence of malice or intention to blow up the school in any of his statements afterwards. So, yes, you can take that literally.
Not here to argue with you. I respect that you have a different view.

But, that is fodder for another thread....

But, that is fodder for another thread.... lolololol Now your first sentence is a huge can of worms. Wantagh is a bit insular. In fact, we encourage it in the district, giving preference to hiring Wantagh graduates as teachers and look what just happened to the 'outsider' super we hired and suspended. My kids' non-Wantagh friends tease that Wantagh's nickname is 'White-tagh'. All of that is definitely fodder for another thread!

Definitely agree: White-tagh. When I moved here from the City I went through major culture shock. Still freaks me out.
